How to install a plugin for Cinema 4D?

To install the plugin for Cinema 4D follow these instruction:

  1. Unzip plugin files here: 
    Windows: c:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\CINEMA 4D (version whatever)\plugins\
    Mac: Applications > Maxon > Cinema 4D (version whatever) > plugins\
  1. Restart Cinema 4D.
  2. Go to the Plugins (Extensions) menu to run the plugin.

Another option. Without copying the installation files (Cinema 4D R20 and upper):

  1. Unpack the installation files to disk.
  2. Start the Cinema 4D program. Go to Edit > Preferences > Plugins.
  3. Add the folder with the unpacked plugin files to the list.
  4. Restart Cinema 4D.
  5. Go to the Plugins (Extensions) menu to run the plugin.

How to install a script for Cinema 4D?

  1. Unzip script files here:
    Windows: c:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\CINEMA 4D (version whatever)\scripts\
    Mac: Applications > Maxon > Cinema 4D (version whatever) > scripts\
  2. Restart Cinema 4D.
  3. Now you can launch script from menu Scripts > User Scripts > Script name

Plugin it is not working. How to fix it?

  1. Make sure this version of the plugin is compatible with your version of Cinema 4D.
  2. In case of reinstalling/updating the plugin, make sure that the previous files have been deleted.
  3. Open the Сonsole via the Extensions > Console menu or press Shift + F10.
  4. If there are any error messages in the Сonsole, copy the text and send it to the developer on this page.

How to make refund?

Please be sure that the plugin you purchase is compatible with the system you have, before you make your purchase. If you are not sure, make a request here and ask support about product compatibility.

  1. If you purchase a plugin that is not compatible with the system you are running on, you are not entitled to a refund.
  2. You can only get a refund if you made a genuine mistake during the ordering process, such as a double order.
  3. Refunds can only ever be issued on credit card transactions (or paypal) and then only within 30 days of your order.
  4. Once you have used/registered a plugin, you can not get a refund.

I have the message “License activations reached”.

During plugin activation i have the message “License activations reached”. This means that this license was activated on another computer. If you are no longer using the previous installation, contact the developer to reset your license key activations. Otherwise, you need to purchase a new one.

Plugin always asks for a license.

This may happen after updating the plugin to a new version. In this case, you will need to reset the current Cinema 4D settings. Please delete this file and folder:

On Windows:

%APPDATA%\MAXON\Maxon Cinema 4D (Your Version)\prefs\Cinema 4D.prf

%APPDATA%\MAXON\mutsettings

On Mac:

/Users/%USERNAME%/Library/Preferences/Maxon/Maxon Cinema 4D (Your Version)\prefs\Cinema 4D.prf

/Users/%USERNAME%/Library/Preferences/Maxon/mutsettings

Restart Cinema 4D app and activate the plugin.

Can I use the plugin I bought on various machines?

On the Mike Udin Tools website, as well as from distributors, you can purchase a license of different types. When purchasing a license for one computer, you can use it on another machine, provided that this license key was deactivated on the previous installation. To do this, you need to use the plugin function Manage License > Deactivate.
